Geoff Gottlieb is co-founder and Senior Managing Director of EWM and of EWMcapital, and has overall responsibility for the firm's third party marketing business. Prior to founding EWM in 2001, Mr. Gottlieb was Chief Marketing Officer for UBS O’Connor, UBS AG’s Alternative Investment unit. During his tenure at UBS O’Connor and its predecessor entities (including Swiss Bank Corporation), Mr. Gottlieb and his team raised in excess of USD 5 billion globally for the bank’s global macro, distressed debt, equity arbitrage and multi-manager programs. Mr. Gottlieb has 21 years of alternative investment, financial markets and management consulting experience.
Jan Vilhelmsen is a Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer of EWMcapital, responsible for marketing and sales of alternative investments in Europe/MidEast. Formerly a Partner at Absolute Return Partners (ARP) in London, Mr. Vilhelmsen brings extensive knowledge of, and a broad network of contacts in, the alternative investment business to EWM. At ARP he was responsible for raising assets as well as selecting quality managers. Prior to ARP, Mr. Vilhelmsen, spent 10 years in institutional equity sales with US investment banks, including the last 3 years with Lehman Brothers heading up the US equity sales team in Germany.
Natasha Schneider Fernandez is a marketing executive with EWMcapital. Prior to joining EWMcapital, Ms. Schneider worked for a hedge fund affiliated with Man Group in the credit space from 2007 to 2009, performing portfolio and company analysis and assisting with capital raising efforts. Other work experience prior to this includes the Merrill Lynch private client group in Miami, a World Bank/IADB microfinance project and internships in M&A at KPMG in Madrid and Banking Supervision with the FDIC in Florida. Ms. Schneider is a Level II candidate of the CFA Program and has a Master of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French.
Elise Auer is a Marketing Executive with EWMcapital. Prior to joining EWMcapital in 2010, Ms. Auer has been developing business since 2006 for a number of alternative asset managers with institutional investors across Europe. Other work experience prior to this includes working on the buy side in corporate finance and private equity with companies such as Banque Syz and L Capital - (LVMH), on acquisitions in Banking, Industrial goods, Luxury and Retail sectors. Ms. Auer earned her bachelors and masters degrees in economics in Rome, Italy.
John Mee (Zürich/London) is a marketing and management executive with EWMcapital. Prior to joining EWM, Mr. Mee worked with Bank of America Securities in the Financial Sponsor Group marketing investment banking services including co-investing and fund raising for middle market private equity firms. His previous experience includes Citibank, N.A.’s Healthcare Finance Division concentrating on marketing hospital bond issues in conjunction with the Municipal Finance Group. Mr. Mee has an MBA with a finance concentration and BA in Government.
Gabriela Bonilla is a marketing assistant with EWMcapital. Prior to joining EWMcapital, Ms. Bonilla worked as a marketing and management assistant with an asset management firm based in London. From 2006 - 2008, Ms. Bonilla worked in the risk management department of two financial services companies located in Oslo, Norway. Earlier work experience includes internships with an asset management firm in London, and with Hearst Magazines and UNESCO in Paris. Ms. Bonilla holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from The American University of Paris.
